GROOMING

To ensure your dog is as comfortable as possible and can enjoy all the fuss and attention, Sarah has invested in a large electric table (to save your dog jumping or being lifted,) an XL electric tub for warm baths and a high-velocity dog-dryer for quick drying and dead hair removal. All of these are installed in her specially adapted groom room at her home in Stainton, so your dog can enjoy 1-to-1 Salon treatment in a calm, homely environment.

PRICING  & CONSULTATION

Don't worry if you're not yet an expert in how your breed "should" look - every groom includes a FREE PHONE CONSULTATION so we can discuss your dog's coat type, lifestyle considerations, and any advice you might like, then agree exactly how you want your dog to look before any work is undertaken.

ON THE DAY I'll do a quick assessment of your dog and confirm: what you want done, how long I expect it to take and how much it will cost*

*PLEASE NOTE all prices are approximate and depend on how long the groom takes. Grooming usually takes around two hours, though larger breeds and those that require hand-stripping or have matted fur, obviously take longer

A £10 deposit is required at the time of booking, this can be made online, by BACs, PayPal or cash.

A FULL GROOM INCLUDES...

  1. An all-over health check to identify any discomfort, skin conditions, tooth trouble or nail problems that might need consideration / treatment

  2. A thorough brush (using Les Pooches brushes) to remove loose hair and dirt.

  3. A warm bath and rigorous shampoo (using Wahl oragnic dog shampoo)

  4. Blow-drying:

    • First your dog is hand blow-dried, using a high velocity dryer to help remove any dead undercoat

    • Then your dog is given a gentle hand blow-dry whilst being brushed to ensure their coat is smooth and completely tangle-free

  5. Ears trimmed / plucked as required

  6. Coat clipped either to breed / owner's specification, as previously agreed

SHORT-HAIRED & SHEDDING

For short haired dogs and breeds that shed a lot, I offer the FURminator treatment. The patented blade gently removes the loose undercoat - reducing shedding by up to 90% - without thinning the top coat; leaving your dog with a shiny coat and you with less hoovering
